Qinghai & Gansu Tour Plan
12 days tour, 2400km

Travel date: Anytime from August to October
Riding Schedule:
Day 1: All the guests arrive in Xining, airport pickup to Xining vehicle administration office to apply for driving permits. Dinner banquet to welcome our guests.
Day 2: A local museum visit in the morning, pick up the driving permits and motorcycles and a short ride to Ta’er Buddhist temple site, 35km. Ta’er temple is one of the six biggest Tibetan Buddhist temples. Return to Xining for dinner.
Day 3: Leave Xining in the morning, pass La Ji mountain and visit Qinghai Lake, stay at Black horse river for the night, 234km.
Qinghai Lake is the biggest salt water lake in China.
Black horse river is the best spot to see the sunrise of Qinghai lake.
Day 4: Leave Hei Ma river after watching the sunrise, pass Chaka salt lake to our destination Delingha, 300km.
Chaka salt lake was a very important stop on the old Southern Silk Road.
Day 5: Leave Delingha in the morning, ride to Emerald lake, stay at the Milky way tents in the desert, 309km.
Day 6: Leave the Emerald lake in the morning, get on the highway to Dunhuang. 414km.
Dunhuang was the most famous desert oasis city on the old silk road.
Day 7: Visit Mogao Buddhist grottoes. Return to Dunhuang to stay another night.
Day 8: From Dunhuang to Yumenzhen, pass Ming Sha mountain and Crescent Spring to Jiayuguan, 388km.
Day 9: A short ride around Jiayuguan old city, this is the Western end of the Great Wall. Then travel to Qicaizhen (7 color town) to see the sunset over the Zhangye Danxia colored landform, 249km.
Day 10: Visit Zhangye Danxia colored mountain landform and Ma Ti temple. If enough time in the afternoon a visit to the famous Zhangye reclining Buddha.
Day 11: Zhangye to Menyuan, on the way we can see fields of canola flowers along the road and Qilian grassland, 264km.
Day 12: Travel from Menyuan to Xining, we can see Da Ban mountain on the way, return the bike, 172km.

Minimum 6 riders/ maximum 12 riders per group. An exception to this will be if a group of friends, or social club greater than 12 riders and pillions feel free to discuss with us and we will make necessary arrangements for extra support vehicle/s and staff if required. Get a group of friends together and talk to us about a group discount.
This journey can also be done as a self drive 4WD tour. POA as prices vary depending on the number of traveling guests. It is highly recommended that each group take a local guide. Food,salary and accommodation costs for guide will be provided by the Renter.
