Riding Schedule:

Day 1: Arrival in Kunming. Our staff will pick up at the airport to submit the applications for driving licenses, then escort you to hotel. Have some rest and prepare for upcoming journey

     Kunming’s location enriches the geographical advantages of the Yunnan Province. Since the times of the Southern Silk Road more than 2,000 years ago, Kunming has remained a hub of commerce and political importance between East Asian countries and Central/South Asian countries. For its pleasant climate, it is known as “spring city”.

 

Day 2: Kunming-Chuxiong. 171km 

     Chuxiong is the Yi autonomous prefecture, we will visit the the old town to see how Yi people live in this area for thousands of years.

 

Day 3: Chuxiong-Dali. 211km

     Dali is located in the plateau but with low latitude.Under this comprehensive conditions makes it small temprature difference in whole year.

 

Day4: Dali-Shangri-La. 308km

     Shangri-La is a fictional name that first appeared in the novel “Lost horizon” by a British novelist James Hilton in 1933. This is mysterious and harmonious small village. In “Lost Horizon” villagers here live a long and happy life. After the novel was published, Shangri-La has been considered to be a synonym of land of idyllic beauty and utopia.

 

Day 5: Shangri-La - Tiger leaping goege - Lijiang. 182km

     Tiger leaping goege is famous for its “danger”and it's one of the deepest gorge in China. It's said that when Jingsha River meets the dry season, a tiger goes down the moutain and have a sit on a reef then leaps over the river. And this is how TigerLeaping Gorge was named. The reef of the river was called “TigerLeaping Stone”. There are two snow moutains on both sides of the Gorge. The west side is Haba Snowmoutain , the east side is Yulong Snowmoutain. The height difference from the top to the bottom is 3790M.

     Shuhe Old Town District has the well preserved Lijiang Old Town, listed a World Cultural Heritages site by UNESCO in 1997. The Old Town was once the center of the city and continues to maintain the original flavor of the local lifestyle, the typical local architecture and the profound cultural heritage of the region. It is graced by well preserved ancient buildings and the Naxi Culture.

 

Day 6: Lijiang – Lake Lugu. 200km

     Lake Lugu is located in the north Yunan Province and the Southwest of Sichuan Province, and it's a freshwater lake on highland. It's surrounded by many moutains, with 17 beaches and 14 bays. Riding alongside this spetacular lake will be a lifetime experience of yours.

 

Day 7:Lake Lugu – Lake Chenghai - Panzhihua. 371km

     Panzhihua is the only city that was named after a flower. Panzhihua is the first city in the upper area of Yantze River. Jinsha River and Ya-Lung River also meet here.

 

Day 8: Panzhihua-Kunming. 359km

      After this magnificent journey ,we rode back to Kunming marking a perfect ending and leave us a lifetime experience.
